Motorola has announced a revamped Moto G smartphone lineup, and expansion is the name of the game this year. The lineup is expanding to include three phones and two of those phones now have a larger 5.5-inch display.

Let’s first start off with the regular Moto G4, which now includes a 5.5-inch 1080p display, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. A 3000 mAh battery comes standard and the Moto G4 supports TurboPower fast charging. As for the cameras, the Moto G4 features 13MP and 5MP cameras for the rear and front of the device respectively.

The Moto G Plus has similar specs to the lesser Moto G4, but brings two big additions: a 16MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and laser autofocus, and a fingerprint sensor. The Moto G Plus is available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities, with the latter two doubling onboard RAM to 4GB. Both the Moto G4 and the Moto G Plus include microSD slots with support for up to 128GB and both are eligible for Moto Maker customization.

The final member of the family is the Moto G Play, which is both smaller and cheaper than its two brothers. The Moto G Play includes a 5-inch 720p display and a Snapdragon 410 processor with 2GB of RAM. You can only select from 8GB or 16GB of internal storage, and you’re saddled with an 8MP rear camera. The battery is also smaller, coming in at just 2,800 mAh. But those downgraded specs are to be expected given the Moto G Play’s positioning in the lineup.

It should also be noted that all three phones include 802.11n (sorry for those expecting 802.11ac), Bluetooth 4.1, LTE connectivity, microUSB connectors (instead the new USB-C standard), and a nearly stock version of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

Unfortunately, we don’t yet have U.S. pricing for any of the smartphones, although it’s been confirmed that the Moto G4 and Moto G Plus will start at £169 and £199 respectively. We’ll let you know about U.S. pricing and availability as soon as it’s available.
