Samsung's 10th Anniversary Galaxy S10 Flagship 5G Phone Rumored With 6.7-inch Display, 6 Cameras

There will reportedly be a phone codenamed Beyond 0, which will serve as a low-cost entry-level model. There will also be a Beyond 1 and Beyond 2, which will allegedly replace the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ respectively. However, what everyone will likely have their eyes on has the codename Beyond X. This smartphone will reportedly feature a massive 6.7-inch display (compared to a reported 6.4 inches for the Galaxy Note 9 and Beyond 2). There's no word on what the resolution of this blockbuster display will be, but we'd imagine that it will feature more pixels than the Galaxy Note 9 (2960x1440).

In addition to the enlarged display, the Beyond X is tipped to feature a 5G wireless radio (likely a Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 for U.S. market devices) and six total cameras. According to the report, there will be dual selfie cameras up front and four cameras clustered on the back of the smartphone.

When it comes to what will be powering these new phones, it's likely that for the South Korean home market and most of the world that the phones will feature Samsung's homegrown Exynos 9820 SoC. For the Chinese and U.S. markets, we're expecting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 -- both SoCs are based on the 7nm process node.

According to the WSJ  report, the first three "Beyond" models will be announced in mid-February and should be available shortly after. Beyond X is reportedly scheduled to arrive sometime in the spring as 5G wireless networks start lighting up around the globe.

The expanded Galaxy S10 family isn't the only big news coming out Samsung during the first half of 2019. The company first showed a prototype of its folding smartphone earlier this month, and it's reported that it will be called the Galaxy Flex when it launches next year.
