X800XL 256MB, IDF Spring 2005 - Day 2, Corsair XPERT Memory and More!

Good morning everyone, JeffB checking in with your Thursday morning news update.  We've got more info on IDF day 2 along with info on  an X800XL 256 card from Club-3D.  Rounding things out is some Corsair XPERT Memory and a great looking Lian-Li case.  Let's get started.

Club-3D X800XL 256MB PCI-Express Review @ tcmagazine.info:

"With two 400MHz RAMDACs to convert digital data to analog signals for the monitor. SmartShader HD technology with 16 pixel pipelines for a fast fill rate, and 6 parallel vertex pipelines for up to 700 million vertices per second and an overall capability of over 200 billion floating points per second. 256MB GDDR3 memory for fast data rates and 3Dc image technology for increased performance and lower memory usage."

HEXUS.features - IDF Spring 2005 - Day 2:

In a round table with Pat Gelsinger he stated today that the P4 will carry on being the enterprise desktop solution. Intel have also stated today that they will be taking the P4 into 2006 and scaling it down to 65nm. However, after this the future of the netburst architecture is not certain.

The Corsair XPERT Memory- TwinXP1024-3200XL Review @ OCTools.com:

"Performance wise, the Corsair TwinXP1024-3200XL XPERT modules isn't only beauty and brains. It's also muscles. The results can speak for themselves. Armed with ultra low latencies, the modules showed extreme performance and stability in all the test we have thrown at it. Overclocked, these modules provided the best of both worlds by being to able to run at xtreme latencies (CL 2-2-2-5) up to 220MHz (DDR440) and up to an impressive 247MHz (DDR494) still at CAS 2 (CL 2-3-3-5) timings. Whether you want ultra low latency or fast frequencies at CAS 2, the Corsair TwinXP1024-3200XL XPERT can easily provide them."

Lian Li PC-6070B Plus Chassis at the GamePC Labs:

"Today at GamePC, we have a fairly simple lab report on Lian Li's new PC-6070B Plus chassis. The 6070B Plus is a modified variant of Lian Li's very popular PC-6070 design, which was the first mainstream chassis to integrate noise reducing foam on its side panels. The 6070B Plus has some interesting new design changes and additions to help with case cooling."
