AMD Radeon Pro WX 7100, 5100 And 4100 Series Workstation Graphics Review: Polaris Goes Pro [Updated]

Radeon Pro WX LuxMark and Cinbench OpenGL Tests

LuxMark is a cross-platform, Open CL-accelerated 3D rendering benchmark. Its a tool based on the open source LuxRender physically-based spectral rendering engine, which accurately models the transportation of light and supports high dynamic range. LuxRender features a number of material types to allow rendering of photo-realistic and artistic scenes. LuxRender is free software, licensed under the GPL, that offers plugins for packages like Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D and 3DS Max.

OpenCL is clearly a strong suite for the Polaris-based AMD Radeon Pro WX cards. The Radeon Pro WX 7100 in particular crushes these benchmarks and pulls way out in front of the other cards. The Radeon Pro WX 4100 also shows huge gains, generation over generation, and versus the Maxwell-based Quadro M2000.

Cinebench R15
OpenGL Benchmark
Cinebench R15’s OpenGL benchmark uses a complex 3D scene depicting a car chase (created by renderbaron) to measure a GPU’s performance. The benchmark employs a large amount of geometry (nearly 1 million polygons) and textures, and features a variety of effects, such as bump maps, transparency, and complex lighting. Scores in this test are reported in frames per second...

The Radeon Pro WX 5100 and WX 4100 sandwich the Quadro M200 here, but both significantly outpace the previous-generation FirePro W4300. The more powerful Radeon Pro WX 7100 leads overall, though.
