Dell Venue 10 7000 2-in-1 Review: Brains And Beauty

Performance: Browsing and JavaScript

Next, we'll take a look at how the Venue 10 7000 compares to some other mobile devices by examining a few benchmarks that are currently available online or in the Android Marketplace.

First, let’s take a look at the SunSpider JavaScript benchmark. According to the SunSpider website:

This benchmark tests the core JavaScript language only, not the DOM or other browser APIs. It is designed to compare different versions of the same browser, and different browsers to each other. Unlike many widely available JavaScript benchmarks, this test is real world, balanced and statistically sound.

In the JavaScript and web-browsing related SunSpider and BrowserMark tests, the Venue 10 7000 hangs with some of ts contemporaries, but lags behind some of the more powerful devices. We've giving it somewhat of a pass on the SunSpider test though, given that Chrome was installed as the default browser. (Chrome scores poorly in this test, despite quick real-world performance.)
