This is the interface for the Solution Center. Unless you configure it otherwise, you'll receive alerts to run periodic hardware scans to ensure that everything is firing on all cylinders and in tip-top shape. The utility is also handy for looking up system specific information—notice in the lower left corner the product ID, serial number, and BIOS version.
Yes, companies are still pre-loading trials of McAfee security software on PCs like it's the 1990s or early 2000s, and you'll find a 30-day trial of the software on Lenovo's Yoga 700. This is McAfee's LiveSafe suite, its a top-end security product that includes additional bells and whistles over McAfee's Internet Security and Antivirus packages,
Audio
Stereo speakers in the bottom of the Yoga 700 handle audio chores. As with most laptop speakers, bass response is anemic, though otherwise the Yoga 700's audio is serviceable. You won't overpower a crowd with volume, but you can fill a small room with tunes, and there's no distortion or other unwanted audio artifacts at full blast.
While audio playback won't knock your socks off, you can fine tune things a bit with the included Dolby desktop app. There's a noticeable difference between the different listening modes, and if you invest some time tweaking the EQ, you can improve upon the default experiences, just temper your expectations here.
