Our experience here is nearly the exact opposite from the gaming-focused, TN-based monitors we have reviewed. After viewing numerous movies, YouTube clips, and trailers we found color accuracy to be incredibly rich and vibrant, with great contrast and super-deep blacks. With the right content, a high-resolution, quality IPS panel with HDR support is something that has to be seen first-hand to be truly appreciated.
We did a bit of gaming as well, of course, and hopped in WARFRAME, Destiny 2, PUGB, DOTA 2 and League of Legends. The latter two offered the best experience being slightly slower paced games. However, we had the most enjoyment just getting work done on the Dell UltraSharp 27 Premier Color UltraHD 4K HDR monitor. The 4K resolution allows you to get so much on screen at once. Yet nothing beats editing photos and videos using a premium content creation suite like Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere Pro with such an accurate display, that has so much pixel real estate.
The 4K resolution is also great for opening numerous browser windows or applications on-screen simultaneously. In addition, meticulous perfectionists will be pleased with this monitor's level of color accuracy when fine-tuning color-sensitive materials and creating content.
